Sizing your Marathon
The most common means of sizing a water heater is to use the capacity of your current heater. However, needs change and if you think you need a different size unit, the following trable from Marathon will be helpful:

3 - 4 |
5 - 6 |

Tank Size
(Gallons) |

105 |
If you have a high demand item such as a Jacuzzi, you should purchase the 85 gallon model at a minimum.
Another consideration in which size tank to purchase is where it will be installed. Why is this important? Marathon water heaters boast some of the thickest insulation in the industry which makes them wider and taller than their steel counterparts. So, be sure to measure your loaction to be sure the Marathon will fit. The following table gives you the diameter and height to the top of the fittings.
