Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative wants to work with its members who have been struggling to pay their bills. Please contact our Member Services team to set up a payment arrangement that will allow you to pay off any past due amounts over time as you resume paying your regular monthly bill.
Our Member Services center is available from 8 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at 973-875-5101.

What is a capital credit retirement?
Capital credits are the margins that Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative, as a member-owned, at-cost organization, allocates to our members as a return on their equitable investment into the Co-op. When finances permit, capital credits are retired to members based on how much electricity each member used in a given calendar year.

Request for Final Reading
If you are moving out and wish to terminate your electric service, we ask that you provide written notice at least three (3) business days in advance of your requested disconnect date so that we may be assured of meeting your need in a timely manner.
Disconnects are only performed during regular business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).
