This technology has been evolving rapidly and stands to change the way that drivers will use their vehicles and the way that electric utilities will do business.

Electrical safety is extremely important to us here at Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative. Our employees work with electrical equipment every day, so we are committed to providing the absolute best standards and practices to ensure their safety.

This concern for safety extends to you, our members. It is part of SREC's responsibility to act as a resource of information so our members know the potential dangers an electric current can pose and how they can make their homes, and thus their families, safer.

Trees, branches, and other vegetation are the #1 cause of blinks and outages on Sussex REC's system. To help ensure that Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative can provide its members with the highest quality of service at the lowest possible cost, we maintain an aggressive vegetation management program aimed at keeping our lines clear and power flowing.

In 2019 and 2020, Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative shared weekly #MondayMoneySavers on social media to promote energy efficiency and spread awareness of ways members can reduce their monthly electric bills.
